Studio Rules & Policies

All bookings are final sale and non-refundable.

No refunds will be issued for:

• Cancellations for any reason
• No-shows or late arrivals
• Early departures
• Weather-related issues
• Schedule changes or personal conflicts

Booking transfers may be available with prior written approval — reach out at least 48 hours in advance and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Need to reschedule? We get it — life happens. Contact us at least 48 hours before your session and we'll work with you to find a new time (subject to availability).

Rescheduling requests within 48 hours of your booking are handled on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

Late arrivals: Your session time begins at the scheduled start, regardless of when you arrive. We cannot extend sessions that start late, as other bookings may follow yours.

Please leave the studio as you found it. We charge cleaning fees based on the level of cleanup required:

• Standard cleanup — $75: Trash removal, light spills, furniture reset
• Deep cleaning — $150–$250: Cake smashes, food residue, pet messes, excessive mess
• Prohibited materials — $250 minimum: Confetti, glitter, or other hard-to-clean materials

To protect the space and everyone in it, the following are strictly prohibited:

• Smoking or vaping of any kind
• Open flames, candles, sparklers, or fog machines
• Unapproved alcohol or illegal substances
• Confetti, glitter, or loose decorative materials
• Nailing, screwing, taping, or adhering anything to walls or surfaces
• Any activity that poses a safety risk to people or the studio

If you're unsure whether something is permitted, ask us first. We're happy to help you find a creative alternative.

Renters are fully responsible for any damage to the studio, furniture, props, walls, backdrops, or equipment during their rental period.

Martich Studios is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought into the studio. Please keep your belongings secure at all times.

By booking, you agree to accept financial responsibility for any repairs or replacements needed as a result of your session.

Do not nail, screw, tape, or adhere anything to any studio surface — walls, ceilings, floors, or fixtures.

Freestanding installations and setups are welcome and encouraged.

• Tape residue or minor surface damage — $100–$200
• Repainting or drywall repair — $350+

Studio furniture and props may be moved carefully during your session, but must be returned to their original positions before you leave.

No standing, climbing, or sitting on surfaces not designed for it.

• Minor damage — $150–$300
• Major damage or loss — Full replacement cost

Please be mindful of the studio floors. Avoid hard-soled shoes, cleated footwear, or dragging heavy items across the floor.

• Scuffs or scratches — $150–$500
• Permanent damage — Full repair/replacement cost

We love pets! Up to 2 pets are welcome in the studio. Service animals are always permitted regardless of limit.

• Pets must be house-trained, supervised, and kept off furniture
• Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pet
• Excessive pet hair or accidents incur a $150+ deep cleaning fee
• Any damage caused by pets is charged at repair/replacement cost

Children are welcome but must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

No running, climbing, or unsafe behavior in the studio. The renter assumes full responsibility for any children present during the session.

Cake smash sessions are permitted with the following conditions:

• NOT permitted on paper backdrops
• Protective floor covering is required
• All frosting, food, and residue must be cleaned before departure
• Incomplete cleanup will result in a $150–$250 cleaning fee

If you're planning a messy session, let us know when booking so we can help you prep.

Music and audio playback are permitted at reasonable volume levels.

Please be respectful of neighboring businesses and tenants. We share a building — keep it considerate.

Serious or repeated violations of studio rules may result in:

• Immediate session termination without refund
• Banning from future bookings

We don't anticipate this being an issue — our clients are awesome. But we want to be upfront so everyone knows what to expect.
